Rocket Routine

Rocket Routine OS vs. Manus

In short: Manus is a general AI agent that completes tasks on its own and now also sells team and enterprise plans. Rocket Routine OS is a separate system for the whole company: an agent acts with the rights of the person who asked, asks before deleting, and nothing leaves the company without your yes.

What makes Manus strong

Manus describes itself as "an autonomous general AI agent designed to complete tasks and deliver results". The current version is Manus 2.0 of 28 September 2026, on web, desktop and mobile. By default, each task gets its own cloud computer. There is also Manus Studio on your own machine and a browser extension. For large research jobs, many independent agents work in parallel.

Skills, schedules and automations are built in, and connectors reach common work tools such as Google Workspace, Slack or HubSpot. Meta acquired Manus in December 2025. China blocked the deal in April 2026, and since 1 September 2026 Manus says it has run independently again.

Security and governance: where it stands today

For teams, Manus offers an admin dashboard, SSO and audit logs, with the roles Owner, Super Admin and Guest. Enterprise brings enforced SSO, legal hold, live audit feeds and agent network controls. By its own account, Manus is SOC 2 Type II certified and holds ISO 27001 and ISO 27701.

On your own computer there are three approval modes, and the docs say: "Approval modes limit changes, not reading." Even for local tasks, Manus plans and decides each step in its own cloud. Per Manus, data is stored in the US and Singapore; we found no choice of region. What still holds: roles govern the people in the account. We found no decision rules for a whole company and no check of work against a definition of done.

What that costs you in practice

For a company, what counts is what stays after a task. A Project holds instructions and knowledge, and Manus can propose updates that apply only after approval. That works per Project. We found no general memory across tasks. Community skills can contain code and shell commands, per the docs, so someone should look at them before they run.

The free plan costs nothing, paid plans start at $20 a month, per seat on Team, and Enterprise goes through sales (per the Help Center and team page, as of 7 November 2026).

Research and single tasks in Rocket Routine OS

Manus aims Free at individuals, Pro at freelancers and small teams, Team at growing organizations, and Enterprise at anyone who needs stricter governance.

In Rocket Routine OS, its own AI agents do the same work, from research to automation. They research the web, operate on-screen interfaces in the browser and deliver results you can open and share, like the weekly finance report. You set the adoption level for each AI agent, and the work runs in the same place as your goals, decisions and work items.

What governance means in the context of AI agents

Rocket Routine OS shows what AI agents look like when governance is not an afterthought: the adoption level you set defines how much an agent does on its own. An agent acts with exactly the rights of the person who asked. Escalation rules define when and where an agent escalates. Before deleting anything or changing the company's direction, every agent asks, and nothing leaves the company without your yes. A person checks work that needs a check against its definition of done.

Manus can do technically impressive things. The question for a company is where responsibility for a wrong decision lands when nobody defined in advance who was allowed to make it.
