Rocket Routine OS vs. OKR Tools
In short: OKR tools set and track goals, and many add check-ins and meetings. Rocket Routine OS is a separate system for the whole company: yearly plan, goals, meetings, work and AI agents in one place, and a person checks work that needs a check.
What makes OKR tools strong
OKR tools are a category, not a single product. Active vendors include WorkBoard, Perdoo from Hamburg, Workpath from Munich, Mooncamp from Cologne, Tability, Lattice and Weekdone. WorkBoard bought Quantive in May 2025, and Microsoft Viva Goals was retired on 31 December 2025. What the OKR method itself is, you can read on our OKR page.
The tools have a lot in common: goals align from company level down to teams, progress updates on a set rhythm, figures arrive automatically from other tools, and Jira and Microsoft Teams are supported. Many add meetings, for example WorkBoard, Perdoo, Workpath and Lattice. Then there is AI: most tools suggest wording and summarise. WorkBoard generates and distributes reports, Workpath advertises agents, and Tability's agent plan is marked "Coming soon".
Governance: where it stands today
Many OKR tools control who may see and change what: Workpath, Mooncamp, Tability and Lattice describe roles or permissions, and SSO is common. We found product audit logs at Workpath, Tability and Weekdone. Workpath talks of digital decision-making workflows and writes: "Agents prepare the decision, people take the lead."
What still holds: these roles govern the users of the tool. We found no decision rights or escalation rules for the work itself. And no product describes checking deliverables. The nearest thing is people reviewing AI drafts. Workpath itself writes: "Nobody can trace AI activity back to goal achievement."
What that costs you in practice
An OKR tool shows you how far a goal has come. The work behind it usually sits elsewhere: in Jira, in email, in people's heads. That leaves open whether a key result is right because the work was good, or only because the number was updated.
Prices vary widely. Perdoo is free up to 5 users, Weekdone up to 3. Mooncamp costs €7 or €10 per user a month billed annually, with a minimum of 5. Tability costs $6 to $12 per user. WorkBoard and Workpath publish no prices (all as of 7 November 2026).
OKR in Rocket Routine OS
You can set, align and track goals in Rocket Routine OS too, and there goals and work sit in the same place. Every goal hangs on a parent and its area there, work items hang directly on an outcome, and AI agents do part of the work. If you work with OKR, the artifacts can be created and checked in the Quarterly. During set-up, the Navigator imports existing goals from another tool or a spreadsheet, shows them in a table and creates them only after your OK.
What governance means in the context of goals
Rocket Routine OS shows what AI agents look like when governance is not an afterthought: the adoption level you set defines how much an agent does on its own. An agent acts with exactly the rights of the person who asked. Escalation rules define when and where an agent escalates. Before deleting anything or changing the company's direction, every agent asks, and nothing leaves the company without your yes. A person checks work that needs a check against its definition of done.
An OKR tool answers how far you have come. For a company working with AI agents, the question goes further: is the work that serves a goal connected to it and checked before it counts as done?
Frequently Asked Questions
Rocket Routine OS or an OKR tool?
An OKR tool sets and tracks goals. Rocket Routine OS does that too, and it is the operating system for the whole company: yearly plan, goals, meetings, work and AI agents in one place.
Which OKR tools are there?
Active vendors include WorkBoard, Perdoo, Workpath, Mooncamp, Tability, Lattice and Weekdone. Perdoo, Workpath and Mooncamp are from Germany.
Do Viva Goals and Quantive still exist?
No. Microsoft retired Viva Goals on 31 December 2025. WorkBoard bought Quantive in May 2025.
Can I work with OKR in Rocket Routine OS?
Yes, if your company works with OKR. The artifacts of the method can be created and checked in the Quarterly.
Can I bring goals over from my OKR tool?
Yes. During set-up, the Navigator imports goals from another tool or a spreadsheet, maps them to vision, yearly goals, outcomes and metrics, and creates them only after your OK.
